Loving Lately: Fall Fashion

Fall is hands-down my favorite season to dress for. I love mixing different textures of tweed and cashmere, layering coats and sweaters, and living in over-the-knee boots. Okay, so maybe I've always dreamed of dressing like this for fall...but I've never really had the chance! Living in Phoenix for most of my life, the winters are extremely mild, where the average high is 68 degrees. Yes, it feels cold outside, but usually not cold enough to layer your sweaters with a wool scarf and wear a long coat as well. I always get so inspired though when I get my copy of the September Vogue issue, and I start seeing fall fashion in store window displays. I love anticipating a new season with new opportunities and adventures that await.

Here are some fall fashion looks I spotted on Pinterest that I'm loving lately...

As you may already know, I'm a sucker for neutrals! I love the richness of this camel, suede jacket, paired back with a chunky turtleneck sweater. Finish it off with some ankle booties and you're ready to hit the streets!

This simple, chic look is perfect for those mild winters I was mentioning earlier. They say you can't wear white after labor day, but I am all for a fabulous winter white look, and this is one of them! The midi-length skirt is still long enough to shield your legs from the cold, and the knit sweater is oh-so-warm. I love the classic, pointed-toe pump with this look, but I would also opt for an ankle boot to switch things up.

Velvet is a big trend for fall this year, and I love that it's making a comeback. It's a strange feeling when you reach that age where you can remember that velvet was "in" when you were 10, and now it's resurfacing on the runways...it looks so much better now than it did back then! I'm loving this layered look with the velvet boots. I would throw on a pair of opaque tights with this outfit, or maybe a cute beanie!

Of course, over-the-knee (OTK) boots are another staple in any fall wardrobe. I love this black suede pair worn with a leather legging. It makes for a slightly edgy yet polished look. You may have also seen that the platform boot is trending, and I'll be the first to admit I'm not a fan. I'll stick to my OTK boots this fall :)

This laid back look is perfect for walking the streets New York, London, or wherever you might be :) The menswear-inspired flats give it a casual vibe while still looking put together, and this forest green pullover is a gorgeous hue for fall!

What are some of your favorite fall trends that you're looking forward to wearing this year? I'd love to hear in the comments section!
