Cottage Core Meets Folklore In This Fall Outfit

It’s October 13th and the “official” premiere of The Eras Tour Movie!! 💖🎬✨ I’m so excited to relive the very first night of The Eras Tour this weekend and see the movie with some of my good friends. I was glued to Instagram and TikTok on Wednesday night watching the LA movie premiere unfold and seeing Taylor taking selfies with all the fans 🥹 She’s literally the sweetest and I don’t know any other artist who treats their fans as well as Taylor does! Also, she looked like a pop princess Cinderella in her blue Oscar De La Renta gown - so stunning!! 🩵✨🩵

Since opening night of the tour I found Wonderland and got lost in it creating tons of outfit inspo for you which has been so much fun! Thanks to all of Taylor’s amazing music and lyrics there’s an infinite amount of inspiration to pull from. I can’t wait to see the movie multiple times and dress up as my favorite eras, one of which is folklore. Now that fall is in full swing it’s the perfect time to pull out my cardigan and I love how this “everyday eras” outfit turned out. Keep scrolling to shop the look and learn about the inspiration behind the outfit!

Cardigan is one of my favorite songs on this album, so I really wanted to create a fall outfit that was inspired by the song title and the music video. In the video, Taylor is wearing a beautiful ivory maxi dress with some lace detailing, so when I saw this one from Abercrombie I thought it was a near perfect replica to recreate her style! I also wanted to wear an ivory cardigan that mimicked the one Taylor designed for the release of this song - I love how cozy and soft it is and it’s super versatile, so don’t be shocked if you see me wearing it on repeat this fall 🍂 Last but not least, I finished off the look with these chunky Chelsea boots in a gorgeous burgundy shade! Taylor wore some chunky Moto boots in some of the pictures from the folklore photoshoot and I think they offer a fun contrast from the feminine silhouette of this dress.

I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about this outfit initially since the boots paired with the dress is a little bit outside of my comfort zone, but I love it all together! I’ve been having the best time creating outfits that resemble the vibe and style of Taylor Swift’s albums and I can’t wait to keep the party going! Which era is your favorite? Let me know in the comments - I’d love to put together some more outfits ideas for you ✨ xoxo
