Blue has been a hue that I've been gravitating towards again and again this summer (see here & here), and today's look is no exception! However, it's not just the color of these pants that drew me towards them, but more so the designer behind them.
I've had my eye on Veronica Beard for the past couple years, and what initially intrigued me about their clothing was their ever-so-versatile and chic Dickey Blazer. It's such an ingenious idea, I thought why has no one ever done this before!? If you aren't familiar with this jacket, then today is your lucky day! They've updated the standard blazer you once knew, and have made it so much more wearable with the different inserts (aka "dickeys") that you can mix it up with. Not only do their jackets come in a variety of colors, silhouettes and patterns, but the dickey options are endless as well. Want to edge up your look? Zip in the leather, moto style dickey. Want a preppy vibe? The striped, sweater dickey is your new BFF. There are so many combinations that you can create, giving you multiple outfit options--your closet will thank you later. Once I fell in love with the blazer, I knew it wouldn't stop there.
Next I tried on their dresses, skirts and pants, and none of them disappoint! So, when I saw these gingham pants (now on sale! & also available in black), I knew they would be perfect for summer. I've actually been a gingham virgin until now, and I'm so glad that this was my first purchase! I love a good high-waisted pant, and the fact that these zip up in the back creates a clean line down the front of the leg, with no pockets to get in the way. I'm a sucker for details, and the little slits at the bottom give it a little something extra.
With Veronica Beard, I think what I appreciate most is their attention to detail with each piece they design, and the quality of their fabrications. I promise, this is not sponsored, it's just that when you find a brand you love, you want to tell the whole world about it! I'm always anticipating each new collection that comes out, and there's never a piece I don't love. Their latest collection is filled with great summer essentials, and I'm linking some of my favorites at the bottom of this post.
