Rainy Day Style

We had a few days of rain this past week in Austin which was a delightful change from the warm weather we were experiencing. Rainy days are perfect for cuddling up on the couch, watching movies and eating all the snacks you can find, but on this particular day we opted or some fresh air and a walk around our neighborhood!

I got a steal of a deal on this blue and white striped umbrella at J. Crew a few months back and I love it! Up until this week I haven't had a chance to use it much, but as we move more into the fall/winter season I hope that I'll be able to use it more. I've also had my eye on this Hunter umbrella, because of it's dome-like shape and hint of pink, of course!

My rain boots are an oldie but a goodie; I've had them for about 6 years and found them at a small boutique in Santa Monica with my mom. The butterfly pattern gives a little pop of color, and I love mixing and matching it with other prints. Of course, I've been wanting to invest in a pair of Hunter boots, but I haven't found the need to just yet since we don't get a lot of rain typically. I really love this color, this pair with a wedge, and this one.

I actually bought this lightweight jacket the same day as the boots, now that I think of it. I believe it was raining that day so I had to change my outfit spur-of-the-moment :) This one is from H&M, but I found a similar one here that's under $50! My Topshop dress is from a previous season as well, but I love this option and this one too for a more sophisticated look.

Happy Friday! Have a great weekend!
