My Must-Have Summer 2021 Items

May has always signified the start of summer for me. It’s the month where I would trade homework and school projects for 3 glorious months of freedom as a kid/teen. Even though summertime in Phoenix is unbearably hot and uncomfortable that didn’t even matter! Summer meant hanging out with my friends on a random Wednesday because we could and going on family vacations to the beach in California. I loved everything that summer symbolized and when May finally rolls around, all of those nostalgic memories play over and over in my mind.

I’m especially excited about this summer because it finally feels like things are returning to normal. Freddy and I will be fully vaccinated in a few weeks and we’re taking our first real trip (aka getting on a plane ✈️) in July after staying put for the last 15 months. It’s been a rollercoaster of a year filled with much uncertainty and I’m so ready to travel again and soak up all of the summer vibes ☀️😎🌴 As it stands right now, our only summer travel plans involve going to Chicago for a few days for our friend’s wedding, but you better believe I’ll also be incorporating lots of pool time too! Whether you’re traveling or staying local, I wanted to round up some of my favorite summer essentials to keep you shaded, hydrated, entertained, moisturized, and of course, stylish! These are some of my all-time favorite products that I use year-round, but I reach for them more and more during the hot summer months.
