Cinderella Sweets

On National Dessert Day last week, my hubby and I were craving something sweet and didn't know where to go. I suggested Whole Foods, since I had a gift card, and once we got there we headed straight for the bakery. I immediately spotted some adorable pumpkin cupcakes, and that's when I thought: these would be perfect for a Cinderella movie night! With the recent release of the live-action Cinderella movie, I have been loving anything and everything related to the film. It is full of so much romance, adventure, and hope, and such a beautiful rendition of the 1950 animated classic. This month Aladdin is the talk of the town, (which don't get me wrong, I'm also super stoked about that movie!), but today, I invite you to come with me as I show you some of my favorite Cinderella-inspired desserts that are as lovely as her name.

These pumpkin cupcakes are a dark chocolate cake with a peanut butter center that melt in your mouth. After the first bite it's hard to imagine finishing the entire thing, but trust me, you'll want to make room!

Blue is such a prominent color in Cinderella (I mean come on, Ella's gown is stunning!), so I definitely wanted to play off that color when choosing various confections. These blueberry tarts are a delicious and dainty treat for enjoying with friends.

I also saw some pretty macaroons in the display case, and I definitely couldn't pass them up! I chose blueberry and vanilla as my two flavors, and they didn't disappoint. We didn't quite finish them in one sitting (which is probably a good thing!), but we kept the remaining in the fridge and they lasted us at least a few days!

And the perfect refreshment to accompany these sweet bites? Sparkling water with fresh blueberries, of course! I used San Pellegrino, but I am also a fan of lemon and lime flavored Perrier.

Which dessert your favorite? Looking at these photos makes me want to go back for seconds! And have another movie night. There's no harm in watching this movie once a day right? I don't mind adding a little bit of courage and kindness to my weekly routine :) Have a bibbity-bobbity-beautiful weekend!

Blushfully,

Belle
