As much as I love a gorgeous dress with feminine details like lace, ruffles or bows, I can’t deny my love for a fabulous pair of jeans. There’s just something about slipping on a pair that fits so well and has all the details you love (i.e a raw hem or the perfect medium wash) that you can’t help but feel a surge of confidence rising up within you! That’s exactly how I felt in the dressing room when I put on these skinny jeans from J. Crew. It had been six years to be exact, since I had owned a pair of J. Crew jeans, and I loved the two pairs I owned so much! I felt it was time to try them again to see what I had been missing out on. I tried on this toothpick style (I’m wearing a size 24 for reference) and instantly fell in love! I had been on the hunt for a pair in a medium wash that could go from day-to-night (aka sneakers to heels!) and that also had a high-rise. I love a good high-rise jean! I’ve been hearing talk lately that low-rise jeans are making a come-back, but there’s no way anyone could convince me to own a pair of those again!

After wearing this J. Crew pair (almost on repeat) for the past week, I’m definitely back on the J. Crew denim wagon; their jeans are so soft, comfortable and have just the right amount of stretch and movement! I’m definitely reminded of why I loved them in the first place all those years ago, so I’m really excited to start wearing them again and trying out more of their styles! This experience got me thinking of some other denim brands that I love and have gone back to again and again because of their quality and dependability, which at the end of the day are two things I value most in a pair of jeans. I want them to be durable through washes and wear and to last longer than just 6 months…and not stretch out after just one wear. After much research, and trial and error, here are the 4 other denim brands I swear by…

Paige will always be a brand I have in my wardrobe. I’ve been wearing them for the past 7 years and find them to be of very high quality and very reasonably priced considering that quality! Depending on how many details/embellishments a pair of jeans has will determine the price, but for a classic pair of skinny or straight leg jeans you can find a pair for around $170. I know it’s definitely not cheap by any means, but I’ve learned over the years that investing in a quality pair of jeans is so worth it. Don’t get me wrong, I love finding amazing deals at stores like Target (see this look and this one and countless others!), but trust me, their jeans just simply don’t compare! I also love the variety of styles that Paige offers and some of the fun details they’ll incorporate into their designs like unique fraying, studs, or exposed zippers. Here are some of my current favorite styles:

Frame is another brand that I really love, particularly for their creativity in coming out with unique styles. I feel like they’re not afraid to do things differently or experiment with the new trends that come out. Even though I’m all about a classic skinny jean, it’s fun to push the boundaries sometimes and step outside your comfort zone. I think that’s why I like Frame so much—they inspire me to think beyond what I would normally wear and push myself to do something different. I bought my first pair from them two years ago (a cropped flare style that was new for me!) and they are one of the softest pair of jeans that I own! Here are some of their current styles that I’m loving:

AG and Joe’s are two other brands that I continue to reach for again and again (see here and here). It’s so true that when you find a brand you love, you gotta stick with it! Finding these brands has taken some trial and error for sure. After working in retail for 8 years, I’ve come to discover what I want and don’t want in a pair of jeans and the qualities that I find most valuable. Those qualities are ones that I continue to find in these brands I’ve talked about today, and that’s why I wanted to share them with you! At the end of the day, finding the right pair of jeans comes down to one simple factor: get the pair that makes you feel beautiful, sexy and confident! The best pair of jeans will make you feel like you can do anything you set your heart to, and that my friend, is an amazing superpower to have. xo
