The weather is finally starting to cool down here in Arizona, which is getting me so excited for the holidays! I felt like last year it was so much warmer around this time, but lately we’ve been having a lot of cloudy and rainy days, dipping as low as the 60’s for the high! I don’t know about you but I’ve been scouring Pottery Barn and Magnolia for all the Christmas decor because I’m so ready—bring it on! Okay okay, maybe I’m getting a little bit carried away here…it’s not even Halloween yet! However, I don’t really pay that much attention to Halloween because Freddy and I don’t do anything for it, aside from pigging out on candy all night! But this cooler weather has me feeling all the fall feels and I’m so pumped about finally being able to wear boots again.

I’ve been wearing these black ankle booties with all of my fall capsule wardrobe outfits (you can read posts 1 and 2 here!) because they are just that versatile! This is my first time wearing them with these frayed hem jeans and I love that you can still see that detail even while wearing the boots. I’ve mentioned this before, but I find ankle boots to be more functional than a over-the-knee boot. Don’t get me wrong, I love OTK boots, especially for a dressy occasion or when paired with a shorter dress or skirt! But for everyday wear, ankle boots are the way to go in my opinion.

It had been quite awhile since I had purchased a new pair of jeans, and I’m talking like over a year! So in the spirit of feeling like I was long overdue, I found this pair for under $80 and I’m so happy with the fit! I’ve been gravitating towards high-waisted pants lately, because I find them to be more elongating, and these have just the right amount of stretch! And I’m sure you can already tell this rust-colored cardigan is going to be on repeat this season; I can’t get enough of this color! I’ve even found a nail polish color to match! Fun fact about me: I’m a nail polish hoarder and it takes ALL OF ME to resist buying a new color when I go into Target.

The whole purpose of this series is to show you just how easy it can be to create outfits when you have pieces that you can mix and match together! As you can see, several of these pieces I have worn in other outfits, so they really are versatile! Thanks for tuning into another installment of my fall capsule wardrobe series! Can’t wait to share next week’s outfit with you! xo
