Black Bell Sleeve Dress

I'm a firm believer that you can never have too many LBD's (little black dresses) in your arsenal, no matter what time of year. They are an easy go-to piece that will never let you down and can work for literally almost any occasion. However, there are definitely different times of the year when certain fabrications and textures are appropriate. For example, during the fall/winter seasons you would be more inclined to wear a black dress in a scuba, tweed or wool fabric. And during the spring/summer months you would lean more towards a linen, cotton poplin or silk texture that isn't too heavy for the warmer temps. Introducing...the perfect LBD for spring!

I was on the hunt for a little black dress to wear for casual dinners or just for a day out and about, and I found the perfect one at Target from the Who What Wear collection! I've recently found a couple pieces that I really like from this collection (here and here) so I wasn't the least bit surprised when I spotted this little number.

I'm totally into the bell sleeve trend that's happening right now (literally everywhere) so when I noticed this dress had them I was sold! Plus, the feminine lace detail on the illusion neckline gives this dress a little something extra. Made from a cotton poplin fabric, it's very lightweight and airy, making it comfortable and doable for our 100-degree temps that are just around the corner. Because the texture of this dress has a bit of a crispness to it, wrinkles are a given whenever you sit down, but I happen to like the relaxed, slightly disheveled look :) This dress (which is only $35) hasn't made it to Target's website yet, but as soon as it does I'll share the info here! For now, I've linked some similar styles that are equally as cute here, here, here and here.

Espadrilles are also trending right now, and they are the perfect summer shoe that will keep your feet comfy all day long. This leopard pair is my favorite to pair with black pieces to keep it more classic, but I've been eyeing so many other styles of espadrilles that are so amazing! This perforated style from Marc Fisher comes in so many great neutral tones, or this more traditional style from Soludos, or this lace-up style from Splendid--I love them all!

With this outfit, I'm feeling ready for a fun-filled weekend full of adventures! Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend! xo

Blushfully,
