A Thanksgiving Dinner Outfit

How is it that Thanksgiving is just next week?! It seems like it creeped up so quickly this year! I think I'm also thrown off by the warm weather we've still been having in Arizona...it's been hovering around 85 for the past several weeks so it still feels like we're in the middle of September over here. Despite this heat wave, I'm doing my best to get in the fall mindset by wearing more neutral tones and ankle boots while sipping on pumpkin spice lattes. A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do!

I'm so glad that we'll be able to spend Thanksgiving with my parents this year. The last 2 years Freddy and I were in Austin and weren't able to spend it with our families due to our work schedules, so we had turkey for two. Don't get me wrong, it was really fun to make a special meal together and have leftovers for 2 weeks, but this year it will be nice to be the helper in the kitchen rather than the chef ;) I've been trying to put together a "fall" outfit that I can wear for our Thanksgiving dinner that won't be too warm and I realized this lightweight sweater (under $100) would be perfect! This color is one of my favorites to wear during the fall season because I love how rich it is, and since this sweater has 3/4 sleeves and isn't too thick it's ideal for our climate.

I bought this skirt (under $30) a couple months ago (last worn here) and loved the fall floral print and the slight ruffle flare out. It's so fun to twirl in! The camel sweater pulls out more of the brown tones in the skirt which I love. I pulled the look together with these taupe, suede ankle boots (similar here, exact style available in black) that I bought last year. Unfortunately I haven't been able to really wear them yet this season since it hasn't been cold enough, but hopefully that will change soon. They're the most comfortable pair of boots I own and are great for walking around in.

Another thing I'm really looking forward to this year is sharing my apple pie with my family! Every year I make a homemade apple pie that usually gets devoured pretty quickly between Freddy and I, but this year Freddy wants his own pie! I haven't decided if that's happening yet...I'll keep you posted. What do your Thanksgiving plans consist of this year? I hope you're able to spend the day with loved ones celebrating the things in life that you're truly thankful for. xo

Blushfully,

Belle
