Sweater Weather

I've really been getting into the spirit of the season with the cooler weather we have been having, although it's supposed to be warming back up in the next week (such a tease!). Fall is by far my favorite season to dress for, with all of the cozy layers and rich colors, like deep wine, forest green and charcoal grey. I love bundling up in layers (granted, I don't live in a "cold" city; temperatures don't typically get below 50 degrees, but it's nice to dream) and wearing comfy sweaters, like this one I just got from J. Crew.

I had been on the hunt for some turtleneck sweaters, since I didn't own any until now, and when I spotted this one I immediately fell in love with the color. It also comes in a gorgeous camel color and a heather olive green. It has a relaxed fit through the shoulders and body, making it super comfortable, with a ribbed knit detail at the wrist and hemline.

I spotted a few other beautiful sweaters on jcrew.com, like this one here, here, here, and here

I paired it back to these black, coated Paige jeans, which give the effect of a leather legging but are way easier to get on and move around in! A note on sizing: I sized down in this particular style because they stretch as you wear them, and in my true size, there was quite a bit of excess fabric bunched around my knees, which I didn't really want.

These Marc Fisher boots (currently on sale!) are perfect for walking around and being on your feet all day. The natural-colored suede (available in other colors, too) goes with almost anything, and the small heel gives them a more elevated touch. I plan on wearing these a lot into the winter months as well!

My trustee Fossil handbag was a birthday gift from my husband a couple years ago after I spotted it on our honeymoon in Vancouver. I fell in love with the polka dots and it's bowling bag shape; it's the perfect size to fit everything I need. I'm so excited to add more sweaters and layering pieces to my fall/winter wardrobe this year. Next on my list is a fabulous coat; being from Arizona, I never needed to invest in a winter coat because it never got cold enough to wear one! What are some of your favorite things to wear for the fall/winter seasons? Let me know in the comments below!

Happy Friday & have a great weekend!
