Sweaters & Scarves

I hope you had a lovely Christmas with your family! It's back to work for me today, but I'm still in a holiday state of mind so it's hard to get back to reality. We had such a great weekend celebrating my husband's birthday on the 24th and Christmas yesterday! Freddy has grown up eating carnitas for his birthday every year, complete with beans and Spanish rice. We have been making it together for the past 2 years, and we always end up with a ton of leftovers that we also eat for our Christmas dinner!

Since I'm slowly getting back into my weekly routine (and feeling super stuffed after all the yummy food we've been eating!) I'm all about a comfy, casual look to start off the new week. I've had this Vince sweater for a few years but it's one of my tried and true favorites. The two-tone taupe and black combo is what I love most about it, since I'm neutral obsessed. And it's soft material and shape make it extremely comfortable and billowy, just how a cozy sweater should be.

I'm also a sucker for stripes, and this scarf that's made out of a t-shirt material is great for layering. Scarves are my favorite accessory for fall and winter dressing, since it's usually never cold enough where I'm living (AZ/TX) to ever wear a coat! A scarf provides just the right amount of warmth I'm looking for and with so many colors and patterns, it's a great way to liven up any outfit.

I hope you all have a fabulous week! I can't believe we'll be ringing in 2017 in just 5 more days! Bring on the glitter and sparkling cider! xo
