My 5 Favorite Skincare Products

It’s been a little while since I’ve shared an updated list of my favorite skincare products, and I don’t know about you, but my skincare routine is one of the few things that has given me a sense of normalcy during these times we’re in! Some of these products I’ve been using for years while others I incorporated into my routine during the last 6 months, so let’s dive in!

I started using the Drunk Elephant skincare line in September of last year after hearing really great reviews about their products. Their philosophy is all about biocompatibility and only using ingredients that directly benefit the health of the skin. I received a trial size of the Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser for my Sephora birthday gift and loved it so much that I decided to get a full size! I use it every night per the directed use and follow it up with the Protini Polypeptide Cream. I’ve noticed huge improvements with my skin by using these 2 products (aside from the monthly breakouts I get when it’s that time of the month!), and I’m really anxious to try some of their other products, like the Vitamin C Serum, the Multivitamin Eye Cream and the D-Bronzi Sunshine Drops.

You’ve heard me talk about the Mario Badescu facial spray on the blog before, so it should come as no surprise that it’s stuck around as a staple in my daily skincare routine. So, how do I use this product? Literally whenever I feel like it ;) I use it in the morning to hydrate my skin as I start the day, sometime in the afternoon when I need a pick-me-up and also at night after I wash and moisturize my face before bed. I’m also a huge fan of it’s cousin, the lavender version of this spray!

Earlier I mentioned those monthly breakouts I still tend to get, especially when I’ve been eating too much sugar and chocolate. That’s when I whip out my mud mask to try and minimize my breakouts and 9 times out of 10 it works! It’s also a really cooling mask, so it feels nice in the summertime when it’s unbearably hot. One of the other downsides to our crazy hot summers is dry skin! The desert environment can really take a toll on your skin if you’re not careful, so usually about once a week I’ll use the Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask, which is really just a creamy, rich moisturizer. You don’t have to rinse it off! Just apply, go to sleep, and let the mask work it’s magic!

There you have it! My 5 must-have skincare products that I use on a daily and weekly basis. I’ll keep you posted on new products I try and let you know if they made the cut!
