New Curling Iron

This post has been a long time coming, well, I mean getting a new curling iron has been a long time coming! Until now, I've used the same Conair curling iron since middle school, so for about 13 years!! Needless to say, I was really overdue to get a new one. For the past couple years, it seemed like every time I got a hair cut, my ends were split and fried again just after one month. I was trying to figure out what was going on, and then it dawned on me...DUH my curling iron is ancient and probably ruining my hair!

I had been researching a few different brands to decide which iron to invest in. I knew I didn't want to buy a drug store brand, just because I use my curling iron every single day and I wanted to find a higher quality iron that would be more protective for my hair. I was contemplating the t3 Twirl curling iron because I had heard great things about that one, and it's nice that it has the interchangeable barrel option so you can change the size of your curls. However, most of the individual barrels start at around $80 each, which caused me to steer away from that brand and look at something else.

I then found the GHD "curve" soft curl iron, which has a 1 1/4" barrel to create super soft, wavy curls. It had great reviews so I decided to bite the bullet and order it, and it has been amazing! It heats up literally in seconds, compared to my 3-5 minute wait time with my old iron, and it promotes healthier hair by only heating up to a specific temperature to prevent heat damage. I've been using it for a month now and I'm so glad I've been able to retire my Conair buddy. My ends have been so much healthier since I've been using the GHD iron; no more dead or split ends for this gal! Happy Friday lovelies, I hope you have a fun weekend! xo
