A Blustery Day

After a long work week, it was so nice to spend this past Sunday with my husband. I love spending my days off with him, whether we're walking around window shopping, or just running errands. He makes every day so much fun! We live near an outdoor shopping center called The Domain, located in the North Austin area. It's a great place to walk around, grab dinner, shop, and even catch a movie! We love the fact that it's just a few minutes away from us, which also means we usually make impromtu trips to Shake Shack once a week. #noshame

Sometimes, I like to be a silly old bear and hang from light posts; Freddy somehow puts up with me!

For this rather blustery November day, I layered up in my two favorite Theory sweaters. I'm a girl who loves her neutrals; if I see just about anything in cream or camel I immediately fall head over heels. I was also especially happy to be able to wear these two pieces together without getting hot! This cooler weather we've been having has been ah-mazing; a dream come true for this Ariozna native!

This heather brown, wool topper is definitely my go-to layering piece for the season. I've had it for a couple years now, and it seems to get cozier and cozier with each wear! It drapes so well and gives a more elongated appeal to each look. It's also a very versatile piece in my closet and pairs back to sheath dresses, pencil skirts, and some dressier slacks.

I also love mixing patterns together, like polka dots and leopard print. These wedges are so comfy; perfect for a day of walking around. And the fact that they are a closed-toe shoe makes it ideal for fall weather. The bag was a gift from Freddy for my birthday last year. I spotted it in Vancouver on our honeymoon and fell in love! (Again, going back to the neutrals thing.) When we got home he surprised me with it, and it's my favorite purse to carry on my day-to-day adventures.

What's your favorite go-to piece this fall?
