Date Night Dress

I love any excuse to dress up a little bit, and date night is one of my favorites! Freddy and I love trying out new restaurants together (we like to think we are "foodies" lol) and when we've had a long day at work or a not so great week, it's a fun way for us to de-stress and unwind. Plus, we are always up for trying new food--well, I suppose it's still a work in progress for me. We've gotten to the point that Freddy already knows what I plan on ordering before I've even looked at the menu, since I typically order similar things at different restaurants. More on that some other time...

I last wore this dress here as a more casual look with flat sandals and my sunnies. Side note: I actually remember having goosebumps while we were shooting those pictures! I forgot what having goosebumps feels like since it's been so long haha. Anyways, since this is one of my favorite dresses (I bought it in Vancouver on our honeymoon; similar here in white) I wanted to show you how I dressed it up for date night. It's amazing what a pair of heels and some lip color will do! And of course, some sparkly earrings; this pair is just one of many that I own from my favorite jewelry shop in San Diego. It's impossible for me to not buy something whenever I'm there!

With the highly anticipated start of fall just around the corner, I'm already getting excited about new date night dresses in rich colors and textures. Self-Portrait has quickly become one of my favorite designers for occasion dresses. I love this velvet floral number as well as this tiered lace option. I also love this strapless midi dress for a sleek and sexy look!

What are you up to on this lovely Saturday? I hope you're doing something fun during these last couple weeks of summer! Enjoy your weekend! xo
